Dr. Jillian Pandor was born and raised in the United States where she completed her undergraduate double major in World Languages Education and Applied Spanish from the Pennsylvania State University. Dr. Pandor holds a Master’s degree and PhD in Applied Linguistics from the University of Alicante and has taught in the United States, Europe and the Middle East in her over 9 years of experience working in education. The majority of her teaching experience in higher education has been dedicated to lecturing postgraduate students in an internationally recognized Master of Education program and continuing her research in the field of education and applied linguistics. In Dr. Pandor’s current role as Academic Director, she oversees all academic matters of Curtin University Dubai and is responsible for the development and implementation of a series of faculty development modules which are conducted both internally at Curtin Dubai and externally within the local community of educators.
